Leah Lewis | DonorCare

Drop-In Host

Leah from DonorCare will be delivering this drop in session with an expert host. Recently she was awarded Highly Commended Fundraiser of the Year at the Institute of Fundraising Chilterns 2020 Fundraising Awards.

Leah has eight years of experience working within the not-for-profit sector, working in both Event Management and Community Fundraising. She has a wealth of experience working with both local and small charities, establishing successful Community Fundraising programmes to maximise income and build loyal relationships.

"Although I’ve been in community fundraising for a number of years, this course has allowed me to feel refreshed about community fundraising after a challenging year for the sector. Having opportunities to discuss topics as a group was so inspirational – really made me think about the position of community fundraising within my own organisation and the potential we have as a team!"

Chris Williams
Head of Community & Events, Richard House Children’s Hospice

"The course covered a wide range of community funding areas and gave examples of good practice and how this has been applied successfully by charities in the past. What I learned could be immediately applied to my current role. There were 4 participants and Leah had taken the time to tailor the course to the needs, experience and role of each of us. There was a good balance of talk and explanation from Leah with questions and contributions from us and we were all encouraged to communicate and learn from each other and share examples of our work."

Peter Butterworth
Crossroads Care Surrey

"This course was one of the most comfortable training courses I've been on, which I think really made a difference.
I've come away with so many different ideas which I'm hoping to move forward with. As a small local charity, we have a lot of competition
with other bigger and national charities, but the course has definitely given me ideas of routes to take so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in."
